As Economy Improves, Traffic Deaths Spike

August 21, 2015

As the economy has slowly bounced back and Americans have grown accustomed to gas prices around $2.75, traffic deaths have risen drastically.  In the first six months of 2015, nearly 19,000 Americans have died in traffic accidents.  If we continue at that same rate, we could see the death total exceed 40,000 for the first time in almost ten years (before the recession).

With so many more people on the road and so many more accidents, it is important to know what to do in if you ever get into a car accident and need a personal injury lawyer.

Here are three simple things you can do to keep your self safe:

1.     Make sure your car is well maintained.  Our hot Phoenix summers can cause old tires to fail.  Spend the money up front and make sure your car is at its best.

2.     Purchase UM/UIM auto insurance.  This insurance will cover you if you are injured by a driver that does not have car insurance or has a state minimum policy.

3.     If you are injured, you need an aggressive injury attorney on your side.  Take 30 seconds right now and put Torgenson Law into your phone as “Phoenix Injury Lawyer.”   Our phone number is 602.759.0012.  The sooner you call us the better chance we have to make sure that you are protected.
