Happy Thanksgiving From The Torgenson Law Family

November 21, 2018

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! As Thanksgiving approaches we would like to take this moment to thank each of you! As always, we want to wish you a joyful, safe, and relaxing weekend with friends and family. Like most holidays we will have the arrival of many new and reoccurring visitors to our wonderful state of Arizona and we would like to remind you to be vigilant of a few things so that your Thanksgiving holiday can be the best on yet.

Turkey may be at the center stage of the holiday feast but it can also be the most dangerous. Did you know that Thanksgiving Day is the peak day for home cooking fires in the United States? Here are 4 tips to to keep in mind while you roast, grill, or fry your turkeys:

  1. Unattended cooking is by far the leading factor in cooking fires and fire injuries or deaths.
  2. Keep your children safe from holiday cooking hazards by making sure they remain at least 3 feet away from any hot cooking surface. Including steam!
  3. Make sure your smoke alarm is working! Quick detection is the best detection.
  4. Keep the fryer outside and away from walls and moisture.

As with every event it’s important to remain responsible for your safety and those around you. #1 tip for having an awesome Thanksgiving game day party? Take the keys away! Do not DRINK and DRIVE under any circumstances! Trust us, we totally know what we’re talking about.  Running late? The turkey is not going anywhere. It can wait for you as long as you are obeying the speed limit and making frequent stops if the trip is a long one.

Once again we would like to thank each of our friends, family, and readers for constantly reminding us why we do what we do. Helping to keep you safe is a priority here at Torgenson Law. Stay safe while having fun! If you do happen to, unfortunately, experience an injury matter, you will need aggressive Glendale personal injury lawyers to fight on your behalf.
