What Makes The Best Personal Injury Attorney?

November 7, 2017 By John Torgenson

Searching for an Arizona Personal Injury is an important task that can be scary, overwhelming, and intimidating.  What should I look for?  What questions should I ask?  Should I hire the person with the biggest billboard or most commercials on television?  These are all questions that might be going through your mind.  Here is a list of traits that we, as experienced Arizona Personal Injury Attorneys, would like to arm you with and that you should look for in your search for the best personal injury attorney for you and your family.

  • Honest:  I know, I know.  I hear all of the jokes.  Aren’t honesty and personal injury attorneys mutually exclusive?  You can’t have both, right?  WRONG.  When you hire a personal injury attorney, you are entering into a partnership for the duration of your case and even beyond.  You need to know that your attorney is honest with you and honest with the insurance company.  You need to know that when they say something, it happens.  Watch out for ANY promises on an initial call or initial meeting.  The best personal injury attorneys wait until they get all of the information on your case before making any estimates or promises on the amount you are entitled to on your case.  You need to know that your attorney’s word means something.  The best attorneys tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear.  Listen, and go with someone who you trust.
  • Hard Working:  Ask your attorney about their background.  Where did they grow up?  What did their parents do?  What was their first job?  How did they make it through law school?  You want someone who will work tirelessly on your behalf in order to get you the compensation you deserve when someone injures you.  You want an attorney who will take the time to look at every angle, look under every rock, and not take no for an answer the first five times.  There are plenty of white-collar lawyers who did not have to balance high school, college, and law school all while working in order to achieve their dreams.  You want a blue-collar lawyer who knows what it takes to be the best.  That is who we are at Torgenson Law.  I worked all through high school, college, and my dream law school (Notre Dame) and grinded my way to where I am now.  You want someone you can trust to put in that extra work to fight for you.
  •  ACTUAL Experience:  You want someone who is 100% devoted to fighting for injured people.  They live it, they breathe it.  They take your claim personal and have been in the trenches hundreds and hundreds of times before listening to the insurance company’s same tired excuses for not paying full value on your claim (pre-existing medical issues, the medical charges are not reasonable and necessary, it was a low-impact collision, blah, blah, blah).  The insurance companies’ excuses are based on greed and you want a personal injury attorney who has heard it all before and is armed with the law and knowledge to fight them.  Then, if the insurance company still refuses to pay you full value, you want a personal injury attorney who is experienced in filing lawsuits and prevailing in trial, arbitration, or mediation.

Torgenson Law is 100% devoted to fighting insurance companies and corporations on behalf of good people who are hurt.  We are honest, we work hard to have our clients’ backs, and all we have done and still do is represent injured people.  We are confident in ourselves and confident in our ability to help you to get the best result possible.  If you need us, we are ready.  (602) 726-0747.  jtorgenson@torgensonlaw.com.
