Torgenson Law Wishes You A Safe And Relaxing Labor Day Weekend.

August 31, 2018

Monday September 3rd marks the 124th anniversary of Labor Day. While most view Labor Day as just another three-day weekend scattered across the calendar year, the national holiday is actually a creation of the labor movement in the late 19th century and is intended to pay tribute to those who are responsible for the nations social and economic success – the American worker. We, at Torgenson Law, find it difficult express our immense appreciation for the work our parents and grandparents put in to not only strengthen our families but also help shape the foundation of this country. To that, we say thank you to all the hardworking men and women who do everything they can to put food on the table and make this country better for the generations to come.

With all that said, as Arizona Injury Attorneys, we, at Torgenson Law are well aware of the increased personal injury risks that arise on holiday weekends. As with any three-day weekend there will undoubtedly be increased traffic, recreational activity, barbeques, and more than likely a few adult beverages sprinkled in. Not to mention, Labor Day weekend marks the first weekend of the college football season, so tailgating will be at a premium. Accordingly, we want to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the long weekend with his or her friends and families without incident.

For one, ALWAYS use a designated driver. Again, the purpose of Labor Day weekend is to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Knowing that you and your loved ones will have safe transportation options will not only promote safety, but it will help you to better enjoy a stress free weekend.

Still, if you are driving this weekend, it is important to take extra precautions. While you are in control of your own actions, there will undoubtedly be others on the highways that drive drunk or engage in other reckless behavior. In addition, increased travel plans for Arizona residents statewide will mean heavier traffic. Accordingly, wear your seatbelts at all times, look both ways before proceeding into an intersection, use your turn signals, and generally be cautious of your fellow drivers.

Whether you are at an ASU tailgate, a family barbeque, or out boating on Lake Pleasant, we want everyone to enjoy themselves this Labor Day weekend. To do that, we all need to look out for one another. However, if something happens, and you or a loved one suffers personal injuries, we, at Torgenson Law are here for you. Like the American Workers before us, we will work tirelessly for you and your rights. Be safe and have a fun Labor Day weekend and call (602) 726-0747 for a free consultation if you have a potential personal injury claim.
